Freebie, Little Darlin'...

Wow, looks like Little Darlin' is a huge hit. It's so exciting when something you spend so much time and effort on really takes off. The one-day sale yesterday was crazy -- I get email notifications each time something of mine sells, and they were literally pouring in for much of the day. I have another matching freebie today, so stick around to the end of this post for that!

Didn't get the kit yesterday? Fear not. It's still in the store, just at full price. But the truth of the matter is that we both feel that each half is a steal even at full price. Wanna see what the whole kit is all about finally? We've stopped with all the secrecy today, so here are some previews for your viewing pleasure.

Here's my half:

Here's a preview of just my papers:

And a "details" close-up of some of the goodies so you can see textures and whatnot:

And here's Jessica's half:

A preview of Jessica's papers:

And a "details" preview of Jessica's half:

You can purchase them here:

Jessica's half

I have more CT layouts to share that were done with the kit... I'm just loving everything that folks are doing!

AmyK did this gorgeous layout of her little Emma:

Melinda did this amazing double-page spread about a Christmas past (how awesome is that ORANGE OUTFIT?!?!?!):

Lilian did this awesome heritage layout:

(full credits here)

And Robin did this very sweet father-daughter layout about her brother and niece:

And since you may have come looking for it, here is today's freebie that matches Little Darlin'. Tomorrow there will be one last one, so be sure to stop by tomorrow too. I'll leave these up for a few days, then they're going to be disabled.

Today's freebie is this groovy green/brown distressed funky paper. I just like all of the visual texture on it. And I coupled that with this vintage ledger book and a cool old stickpin. Here's a preview:

Thank you for your interest in my freebies. This download link has expired.can download it here. If you do grab it, leave me a comment here and tell me what your favorite thing to do outside on a summer day is. Me, I would be content to swing in a hammock in the shade, sipping something cool and reading a good book (and maybe taking a nap too). Yesterday's comments about the weather were interesting. Had I asked that earlier in the week, I could have mentioned the day it was 101 in the shade on my back deck. But today is really nice... low 80's and sunny. Much nicer! :)

It really is a great kit and seeing as how I have tons of photos of my niece to scrap, it's perfect. Outside in summer? No such thing. I don't do outside in summer unless I am at a concert, mmm... like last night. God was it hot! But Nickelback and Stain'd were so worth it! Thank you for another little freebie addon to Little Darlin'.

So sad I missed the sale yesterday, but the kits are gorgeous, love the details!!! Your outside activity sounds like HEAVEN, (we don't have any trees in our backyard yet), it has rained here almost every day this summer so we are lucky to get a dip in the cold pool or take the dogs on a walk! Thanks for the awesome journal freebie!

I am so excited about this kit, I'm doing a layout right now. Thank you for the add-on freebie. I love to garden in the summer - veggies, fruit trees, grapes, berries, flowers. I love to watch what is getting ready to bloom and then enjoy it's beauty while the next thing is coming on.

I love the add-on - thanks, Krista! You and Jess do such amazing work together. ;) My favorite summer activity is playing in the sprinkler with the kids, or going to a nearby river or stream and sitting under a tree and watching the water go by. I am mesmerized by water. Have a good day!

Well, napping in a hammock sounds pretty good to me too! I love to spend time in my garden in the summer, and those impromptu barbeques and bonfires! I got both halves of this kit yesterday and I LOVE it! Thanks so much for the freebie!

The kit is just beautiful (both halves of it) and thank you so much for the freebie.

As for summer - goodness that would be nice. It's the middle of winter here and I'm sure I can feel frost starting to coat my spine where I'm sitting.

Your plan of a hammock, a cool drink and a good book sounds about perfect. Maybe in about six months.

I would have to say not go outside lol. I am hypersensitive to the light and often wear my sunglasses in the house. But if I was to venture outside I would say scrap on my laptop roflmao. Thanks for the addon is great.

Hey, Krista! Thanks for the freebie -- very cool. My favorite thing to do outside would be, well...to not be outside -- LOL. I'm not really a heat person :-). I do enjoy sitting around the campfires at my parents, though...a nice end to family cookouts, etc. Marshmallows, chocolate...seriously -- fun!

Thanks Krista. Love the kit. I agree with you. Sitting in a hammock, reading a book is a great way to spend a nice summer day. Gotta have the glass of iced tea with it!

Hey, Krista! Thanks for the add-ons! That's a gorgeous kit that you & Jessica have there! Since I couldn't comment yesterday (could read your blog on bloglines, but then couldn't get to your blog to comment), I'll answer both your questions: Favorite thing to do outside on a summer day: sprinkler with the kids or possibly dipping my feet in the kiddie pool, LOL and yesterday the weather was hot & humid and overcast. At least today it was a little breezier and cooler!

I didn't know about the sale until too late, but the kit is fantastic! You both did a marvelous job. I love your freebie! Thank you so much. If I'm outside in the summer and it's hot I want to be in water or near it. I'm very annoyed by insects and anything that bites loves me, so I don't stay out for long in the yard if gnats, mosquitos, biting flies, etc. are out. I hate that - especially if the temperature is in the 70s or lower 80s and I'd like to be outside. It would be pleasant to be outside playing on my laptop with a drink by my side while my husband does yardwork even! He'd like that. :)

Thanks for sharing! I guess my favorite thing to do on a nice summer day outside is to come inside .... I don't do dirt.....which there is a lot of outside.....Not very exciting, but truthful! :)

Thank you again, Krista!

My favorite thing in the summer is getting in our hot tub at night. Now you're probably thinking: HOT tub? in the SUMMER? Well, we set the temperature lower in the summer (93-94F). And our hot tub has multicolor LED lights and a built-in radio/CD player. It's awesome if I do say so myself!

Thanks Krista, love the new kit and thanks so much for the add-on. My summer activities depend on the weather. I love rocking on the front porch and chatting with my sisters on a warm summer day.

Well minus the hammock (I'd love one of those!) mine would be reading as well! Way back when I even did all of my exam revisions stretched on a lounger with a pitcher of juice - life was so hard!

Did ya know I've been looking for an open book to scrap with like forever??? Thanks for reading my mind!

The kit looks great, and the freebie is wonderful, thank you! I'm playing catch-up here, but I try not to do too much outside during the summer - it's too hot, at least during the day. Oh well, my mom always says she's a house plant, and I guess I am too!
